Badde Manors Cafe in Glebe became a Sydney institution. The cafe was infused with the couple's Central European sensibility. Sebes built the now famous interior from recycled booths and fittings scavenged from abandoned cafes around Sydney. Opened at the time of the Richmond Report, which led to the deinstitutionalisation of mentally ill people.

Badde Manors was one of the first cafes to open on what is now the hip strip of Glebe Point Road back in 1982, and it hasn't lost its unique personality that made it so popular to begin with. Open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu here blends a variety of Asian, North African, Middle Eastern, Latin American and Mediterranean flavours, prepared daily by its in-house chefs.
